Monday - Journal 13 - Record four expectation of Mr. Hudson's class in your journal, answer question - Why is social studies important?
Start World Religion Poster Project - (30 point test grade) Mr. Hudson will cover expectations of this project.
Tuesday - draw Venn Diagram in journal - compare Christianity and Judaism using your religion information sheet that was handed out in previous week ( 7-10 minutes)
Work on World Religion Project in groups
Wednesday - Read Daily Press Newspapers for  (5 - 8  minutes) Journal 15 - write paragraph about something you learned from the paper, Work on World Religion Project in groups
Thursday - Work on Islamic vocabulary sheet (5 to 10 minutes) Homework, if you do not finish, Work on World Religion Projects
Friday - Discovery Education - watch video - Worlds of Faith - Sacrifice to Allah (14:28) List five facts about what you learned from this video - record in your journal (Journal 16), Present World Religion Projects

October 22 -26

Monday - iPad - researching Five Major Religions

Tuesday - Five Major Religion Test - 15 Points ( 5 - 8 minutes before class to study), watch video on major religions (11 minutes)

Wednesday - Working on Summary and Article (political, social, or geographical in nature)  

Summary Requirements -  needs a title, introductory statement, two factual statements, data (statistic - if available), student's opinion about article, closing statement,  and article attached

Thursday - Present Summary and Articles - not mandatory (extra points), work on religion crossword

Friday - Journal Entry - What have you learned about religion? six sentences in paragraph form, Play Jeopardy - World Religions

October 15 - 19

Monday - Work on desert climate worksheet / check in class
               World Religion Notes - Judaism, Christianity

Tuesday - MEAP Testing, Religion Word Search

Wednesday- MEAP Testing, Religion Word Search

Thursday - World Religion Notes - Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, You Tube video - Six Major Religions

Friday - Research Five Major Religion - worksheet -  (use computer lab or mobile iPads)
